Buena Vista is a low resource community that is seeking for ways to improve, so much for their children as for themselves. Families don’t know the basics of health or hygiene. Through a developed program, we are supporting the motivation of the women in the community, to receive classes regarding these topics, plus learning how to be sustainable. Olguita, their teacher will spend two years teaching the women in the community how to do many of the things they never knew, like brushing their teeth, for example.
In the program the women receive the training, and then Olguita visits their home to ensure they are following up with what is being said in class; before all this, the children in the community are weighted so that we can measure the improvement. So far, children are malnourished. All of this happens twice every trimester, and we have been supporting the program by implementing gamification plans for the women so that they will want to come to class, and for every second workshop in the trimester we will be giving goods so that they can feel the reward, and the good will always be thinking also of the children who needs nourishment.
